Happy Father's Day!

Commemorating love for parents once a year has become commonplace in our time.
The celebration of Father's Day, as we know it today, dates back to the last century, when Sonora Smart, daughter of US veteran Jackson Smart, heard a sermon in the church on Mother's Day and considered it important to recognize The work of paternity.
Sonora greatly admired his father because he had taken care of his six children after his wife died during the sixth childbirth. The daughter, wanted to create a date that would highlight the role of the man and the importance he has in the lives of his children. It was established the third Sunday of June as Father's Day.
This celebration became popular throughout the United States years later. In many countries of the world they adopted the same date as the United States to celebrate paternity; However, in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Bolivia and Honduras, they preferred to stay with the date of March 19, in honor of San Jose.
In Thailand, Father's Day was celebrated on December 5, the birthday of King Bhumidol Adulyadej, a national holiday as he was considered by many to be the father of all Thais.
This day most businesses close their doors and families get together. On this day many people wear something yellow or gold, the king's favorite color.
After the death of King Bhumidol last November, his son and heir, King Vajiralongkorn has prompted the executive of the Military Junta to approve that Dec. 5 declare National Day in tribute to his father.
Whatever the date, the important thing is that there is a special day to remind parents how much we love them, thank them for their love and their commitment and celebrate the happiness of being a family.
